AIA/SCS Annual Meeting 2022

NOTICE FROM AIA:

“AIA and SCS have been working on detailed plans for our 2022 joint Annual Meeting based on the results of our recent survey. The meeting will take place January 5-8, in San Francisco, CA. Since 60% of respondents expressed a preference for a hybrid meeting, we are planning for our first ever hybrid conference. This means speakers will be able to present in person in San Francisco or remotely in each session, and attendees will be able to attend sessions in the hotel or virtually. This is an ambitious undertaking, and some elements of the conference cannot easily have a hybrid format; for example, social events will need to be either in person or virtual. However, we aim to make the meeting as hybrid as is feasible given logistics, costs, and staff capacity.

We anticipate a two-tier scale of registration rates, with virtual attendance costing less than in person attendance. There are many details still to be worked out, so please bear with us and we will update you later this Summer and in the Fall. Full details will be sent out to all accepted AIA presenters and session organizers in late September when the preliminary program is posted.

Final Submission Deadlines

The final deadlines for all submissions for the 2022 Annual Meeting are rapidly approaching. The AIA does not accept mailed, emailed, or faxed abstracts. All submissions must be made online by Monday, August 2, 2021 and Sunday, August 16, 2021 (with $25 fee). Those submitting, are strongly encouraged to review the information on the Call For Papers page as changes have been made in recent years.
