Farah Province. 158 kilometers south of Herat.

Dates: Achaemenid, 6th-4th century BC;
          Hellenistic, 3rd-1st century BC;
          Timurid and post-Timurid, 15th-17th century (ceramic evidence).

A vast fortified enclosure of mud with remains of a castle dating from the Timurid period in the northwest.
